A Visit to Lake Geneva, WI with my Writing Group, Part 2 of 2

From Delavan we drove to Lake Geneva. It's such a beautiful area. By the way,  I grew up in Walworth, WI, just on the other side of Lake Geneva, next to Fontana.

We were happy to find a great parking spot by the lake just across the street from a park. There was an awesome gazebo. Anita had packed a lunch for us, so we ate together and had the gazebo all to ourselves.

Our cruise began here at The Riviera. Anita had made reservations for an afternoon "ice cream social" boat cruise. Turns out that meant young children who should have been napping were on the cruise instead, crying and screaming.

We loved the boat trip (minus the crying) and the Captain was a terrific tour guide. Awesome!

Here we are after the cruise, all windblown, posing with Captain Hawk.

My writer friends kept going and going and would have stayed longer, I think, but the driver (me) was getting tired and wanted to get going. Our field trip was a smashing success!

You were such a GOOD driver!
What a wonderful day that was. (except the cranky children)
Funny how it is almost as warm today as it was then.
Thanks for sharing the good memories.

The best part of all? Good company! Thanks for sharing these memories, madam driver-who-remains-unseen.
I was also quite impressed with the beauty of the Lake Geneva library.
