Art in Architecture near the Art Institute of Chicago

They don't make buildings like this in the town where I live.

I listen to WGN a Chicago radio station all the time. I is fun for me to see all these places and streets I hear mentioned. It almost makes me want to go there for myself and check it all out.

Ooo, Lisa, I'd LOVE to win an art book. When I get a chance I'll send you a link to some of my AIC favorite pictures. Did you know that Route 66 ends right across the street from there?
Love the Art Institute and check out the not so far from there Milwaukee Art Museum--http://mam.org/ amazing art AND incredible architecture. The did American Idol auditions there last year and it was featured in the movie "Transformers 3," lol.

I had no idea where Route 66 ends and would love to see photos, Gail.

VIsits and Verse did do a series on the Milwaukee Art Museum October 18-20, 2011 and a re-visit on November20: http://visitsandverse.blogspot.com/2011/10/visit-to-milwaukee-art-museum-part-1-of.html.

It's a wonderful, young museum with a beautiful future ahead, I'm sure.

Suef,

I hope you do get the opportunity to go. With your artist's eye, you will love it!

Beautiful buildings--have you seen them at night? I attended a church music conference at Moody years ago, and some of us took a boat on the river at sunset. Lovely.

No never at night. Sounds nice.
