Assembly Required by Michael Keshigian
In bits and pieces
they fall from heaven,
disassembled snowmen,
one flake after the other,
strewn about the countryside,
discovered by those young at heart,
and with a dash
of imaginative insight,
they roll a gleeful creature
in their own image.
No directions needed.
they fall from heaven,
disassembled snowmen,
one flake after the other,
strewn about the countryside,
discovered by those young at heart,
and with a dash
of imaginative insight,
they roll a gleeful creature
in their own image.
No directions needed.

This is absolutely delightful. Thank you Lori, for introducing us to Michael!
Prude,
So glad you liked the poem.
I read lots of recently-published poetry, and I thought "Assembly Required" was a bit of genius.
How unique and clever!
I love it.
Thanks Lori for sharing,it will give me something else to think about when it snows again besides shoveling.
Cheryl,
I'm happy you like Michael Keshigian's poem.
You've given me a good idea. Next time I need to clear the driveway and sidewalks, I'll try to remember his poem and smile.
Lovely poem! Thanks Lori.
Beautiful poem!
disassembled snowmen...
Does that mean raindrops are pre-assembled lakes or ponds? Or even oceans (when it rains hard)?
What fun paths this poem takes my brain wandering. Thanks, Lori!
